What is Vessel to the Voice?

Vessel to the Voice is a student-run non profit organization, aimed at supporting artists and driving social change through creative expression. By organizing events and publishing our art and research, we are able to create impact on both a local and a global level, connecting us to our community and to the world. We strive to explore how art informs the human world, and how our creation can inspire critical dialogue, community, and social change. Our hope is to bring art to all audiences, challenging the notion that you need to be “artistic” to be an artist.

In our technologically advancing world, our mission is to revive human connection through in-person events, when online spaces fail to foster empathy. Through meaningful partnerships, we have organized concerts, exhibitions, and student workshops. Each event includes a cause, purpose, community, and artistic memorabilia. Our system is geared towards maximizing human connection and giving people a memory to carry through life.

You don’t need to be “artistic” to be an artist; you just need to be passionate.

Our Cause

Our work centers on supporting humanitarian rights and vulnerable communities in the United States and globally. Historically, we have organized events in support of Palestinians in diaspora and enduring genocide, rejecting the unjust killing of innocent civilians. As we have seen our country face its own trials, we have expanded our focus to supporting immigrants who have been affected by ICE’s unjust and unlawful actions against our nation. Our work preaches actionable change rooted in a deep love for humanity, rejecting injustice to bring us closer to peace, equity, and one another.

How we connect

Connecting on a local level

Our work on a local level will let us build relationships with the local businesses in our community and area. We reach out to businesses that align with our values or mission, to involve our fundraising endeavors with their business. Our hope is that we are able to fundraise more successfully as well as develop close relationships with our local businesses.

Connecting on a global level

Social media plays a very large role in the project. Our activity and engagement online can help reach a very large number of supporters and those interested in joining. Along with fundraising online, we will display diverse content such as educational videos, vlogs, artist testimonies, and more.
